Sometimes I get images in front of my eyes which slook like transparent snow flakes. It comes from time to time and normally lasts about twenty minutes and then clears . This has been a problem over many years dating back to l about 1960 when I had problems related to a shortage of salt and dehydration. Over the past few years it seldom appeared but It has become  more frequent in the past week or so and I wonder if it is still related to salt or dehydration.

That fits a classic description of ophthalmic migraine. Use the search feature, archives and topics to read about this condition. Also read the segment on e-medicine about it.

You still need a yearly MD eye exam. Discuss this and your concerns about eye migraines with the Eye MD. Find one at www.aao.org
