Veno lymphatic Malformation in eyes

My son when he was an yr old his right eye was protruding front.....so we consulted doctor and they diagonised as veno lymphatic malformation in his right eye after various scans.So they did a procedure called embolisation and said they have to compromise the right eye as his optic nerve is been damaged due to the pressure caused by the blood in the eye......Now he is 5 yrs and we are not said of any treatment for the affected eye.We are giving him a regular check up for his left eye.Can u pls say
Is there any treatement for this?
If then pls say the procedure and where it can be done.
What are the procedure that should be carried on to protect his left eye.
Atleast can this be treated in future?

India has many fine, ophthalmologists. Its not likely that any help is available for the right eye, especially if you have seen more than one ophthalmologist and they all agree that nothing will help that eye.

To preserve the other eye what I generally do is:

1. Have child wear protective glasses all the time
2. Avoid contact sports and activities with high potential for eye injury.
3. For things that involve risk to eye like mowing yard wear safety goggles.
4. Always think "eye safety" and prevent injuries
5. Yearly exam with ophthalmologist
6. Healthy lifestyle as gets older: don't smoke, don't get fat, exercise, keep blood pressure and cholesterol at healthy levels.
