Vision Problem - Moving "pixels" in my field of vision

I am a 23 year old woman and i have a problem that my ophthalmologist can not find.

It started when i was very young, but recently (3-4 months ago) it started to become worse. I see a permanent set of very small transparent particles which are very similar to the ones that interfere in the old TV, only a few times smaller (as pixels, very tiny as molecules). Those particles are always moving, like if the air was moving.

They take all of my field of vision, it seems that there are in millions and perhaps more...

And, interestingly, even with closed eyes, I can still see them.

It never stops. I see them less only when the light is strong.

I was consulted by 2 different ophthalmologists, they did some exams, but according to them i do not have any problem with my eyes. They can not understand my problem or find any ophthalmologic issues with my vision.

Except that, i am in good general health, but this is really starting to become very annoying.

Do you have any idea what it might be or what type of specialist (like a neurologist maybe) should i visit?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Read this article. It accounts for almost everything described here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_field_entoptic_phenomenon

This is actually vitreous fluid in your eye that you see in different conditions. More noticeable to people who concentrate on it.

Absolutely - i agree with dr hagan.
Even my doctor said its entopic (normal phenomenon).  Being extremely aware , suspicious or doubtful makes it notice more.

On separate note, that is why our elders said sit in good light, bad lights (dim ones) are depressing and make you notice such phenomenons.

I have the same exact problem. I am twelve years old and I had this problem since I was very little. I looked outside and saw these pixelated colors in the dark and I thought they were tooth fairies. Then this one day I got sun screen in my eyes and they all just started to blare our. I guess I just tried to ignore them but just recently I looked at my friend but j felt if I wasn't a part of the world. These pixels were interfering with my vision and I couldn't see her even though I could. I feel like I am in a dream because everything around me has these specks moving over the objects. When I look at the sky I can see the so called "tooth fairies" (zig zag lines of lighted pixelated specks) and I can't get them to go away. When I close my eyes they are more vibrant. And when I push my palms into my eyes I can see patterns as if u am watching a movie a moving pictures. I always thing that one pattern will make it go back to normal but each one my makes my vision seem different. I feel like I am the only one. Sometimes I get random headaches but they are on my eyes. Sometimes I just want to pop my eyes out to make myself feel a part of the world again. Every eye doctor, ophthalmologist, and specialist says my vision is normal but I know that, that isn't the case. I really need help solving this problem. If any one know please help me and the other people going through this same issue.

Its called visual snow. I have it, my mother has it, all of my siblings have it. We have also been to a million specialists to be told nothing is wrong. If I had to guess I think it has something to do with nerve impulses in the optic nerve, or the way it attaches to the brain in certain people. In other words, its not fixable. You may experience slightly more glare at night than someone else, but otherwise there are no ill effects. Just ignore it, its not bothersome once you simply accept that its there and its going to be there. Its common, and its hereditary.
The section on visual snow in Wikipedia is good. I have never made that diagnosis in clinical practice.  Many of the so called visual snow are entopic phenomena.

FYI I've had speckled, pixelated vision since I was 12 years old in both eyes (I'm 33). I have no idea what the cause is / was. Everything I see day and night is like watching a tv with low resolution, I used to look at the night sky a lot when I was younger, now when I do this I just see millions of dots (orangy in colour flaring). It's not a big deal in the sense that it hasn't changed my life in any significant way. It is pronounced though and I visited an opthamologist recently since I was concerned that it has got worse. The opthamologist I visited found nothing wrong with the eye and along with my optician looked at me as if I was making it up - which is pretty frustrating, I've never had any other health issues. It's not floaters, it's entirely different -  I also have floaters.

If you've had it all you life, it doesn't change, your health is good and you've had a normal eye exam by an ophthalmologist I would not worry unless something changes.

I have this problem! I have been looking it up online to figure out if something is wrong... I believe I've had it my whole life but I'm not entirely sure. I thought everyone saw things this way until I tried to describe it to my friend and she had no idea what I was talking about. It is worse when I don't have my contacts in, but it's present all the time. It's kind of like... tiny tiny points of light that sort of make UP everything, including the air. And some points spark a bit more, like billions of very tiny stars? I'm guessing I have visual snow. I'm really worried because I've been reading that there are neurological issues associated with this problem. It never occurred to me that anything was wrong until now! I basically never get headaches, except lately I've been feeling a lot of pressure at the top of my nose. Should I be worried??

Possibilities:
1. flying corpusule entopic phenomena
2. visual snow

Read the sections of www.wikipedia.com on both and use the search feature here to read previous posts by people with the same problem.

No. That is so funny i read this. Glad i did.
I used to be paranoid about the same thing. I have 20/20 vision. i always explained it as a T.V with "no picture".

I think Everyone sees that if they REALLY try to notice it. I mean you can drive, eat, go on with life obviously and probably not notice it unless you are anxious and probably try to correct?

If i am wrong please correct me.
