Vision after Scleral Buckle Surgery

Vision after Scleral Buckle Surgery

After laser and cryo treatments to repair reoccuring tears, I now have a buckle and they did a vitrectomy. I have a standard lens from a previous cataract surgery.  It's been 2 weeks since my surgery for the buckle and my vision at 12" is actually at a 2X magnification.  No kidding.  It's like a magnifying glass, and the vitrectomy got rid of all the cloudiness, so it's super clear and detailed.  Beyond 12" is blurry, and up to 11" is blurry.  This gives everything an unbelievably clear and detailed depth of field.  Like a photograph in every view.  What a blessing for all the discomfort and anxiety I've gone through with it.  Will this continue or is it temporary as part of the healing process?

A scleral buckle makes the eye longer which in tears make the eye myopic or nearsighted whick in tern give clearer near vision without glasses. Likely will remain clear at near.
