Vision testing

Along with Monika, I also cannot understand visual testing.  Both my eyes were tested at 20/30 and in one case I could read the letters quickly, like a book, and in the other case, I struggled as she describes - It took me forever, I made guesses,  and everything was blurry.  My doc's explanation was that one eye was a "good" 20/30 and the other eye was a "bad" 20/30.  My bad eye was a 20/70 if you ask me!  With one eye I can drive, with the other I can't see a thing.  How can they be measured as the same visual acuity?

Think of it like lifting weights. One person may easily life 50 lbs his maximum may be 150 lbs. Another person it may take every ouce of strength in his body to lift 50 lbs. So a persona can barely read 20/30 and another easily read 20/30.
