Visual Aura

I have recently (last 2 months) had a couple of episodes of visual aura, it starts out like a squiggly little line, lightning bolt shaped in the center vision of both eyes, it moves as I move my eyes, then slowly starts to move outward and turns into a line of squiggly bright colors.  This usually lasts about 5 minutes and then is seem to move on out of my field of vision.  I usually do get a slight headache right after or right before.

Sounds like an ocular migraine.  You should see an ophthalmologist to confirm the eyes themselves are OK and then if the symptoms really start to bother you, you may want to consult with a neurologist.  Look up online what common food triggers of Migraines are and avoid them if possible and see if that decreases the frequency of these auras/headaches.
