Visual Problems

I have retinitis pigmentosa with cystoid macular edema as a secondary complication.  Last year I recovered from pseudotumor cerebri.  I am concerned becuase I am dealing with some visual phenomenals that are not, in my view, related to retinitis pigmentosa.  I have to deal with things like after images, printed text that looks grainy from time to time or like there is a backdrop of "snowy-like vision" when trying to read things.  I also get twinkling sensations when looking at computers.  The main thing I am concerned about it the flickering I get mainly in my side vision when I am in the  sun, around certain computers, fluorescent lightings and other light sources.  I am wearing sunglasses  almost all the time.   Because I also have closed captioned on T.V. which is for  the hearing impaired, I can not read it for a prolong period of time without the words looking like they are bouncing which gives me a headache.  I have been to the neurologist and to the eye doctor but there is nothing that they can say to help me.  Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
