Vitamin A 15000 IU capsules (pulmitate)

  Sir,
  My sister had been using Vitamin A 15000 IU capsules (pulmitate) from J.R.
  Carlson Laboratories Inc. outlet in India for eye trouble for sometime, but
  now the medicine is not available anymore here, probably because of the
  outlet closing down.
  Can you please give us information from where we can purchase the product in
  India.

Thank you for your comments.  What is the reason your sister is taking supplemental vitamin A?  There are few indications here in the US for high doses of supplemental Vitamin A.  There is some belief that those with retinitis pigmentosa may benefit from additional vit A but the evidence is not overwhelming.  There are some people that because of their digestive system they are not able to properly absorb vit A, and those people would benefit from supplements.  It would be interesting to know what condition she has.  Certainly, vitamin A is available at most health and vitamin stores in the US.  I am not sure that I can help you regarding an outlet in India that may carry this.  You may try speaking with the previous manufacturer and see if they know who is producing this.  In the meantime, I will speak to some of my collegues and I will get back to you if I come up with something.
