Wasp sting in sclera

Wasp sting in sclera

I was once stung in the eye. The eyeball swelled and fischarged a lot of hoppy mucus. I went to ER and they removed the stinger and gave me antihistamine. It seemed to clear right up. They did not say anything about follow up or give me drops. But everything seemed to be fine. No visual problems or infection. However, I wonder if I will be at an increased risk for glaucoma? My eye was Very swollen (looked terrifying) but only for about 2 hrs.
Thanks

Very strange.  Assuming they got the stinger out in one piece, you should not have any issues.  I don't see how it would increase your risk of glaucoma but you should see an ophthalmologist once a year to be screened.

Sorry-- that was supposed to say 'discharged' and goopy (not hoppy) :)
