Wavy lines

I had retinal detachment surgery 8 weeks ago, and had the gas bubble.  I saw wavy lines immediatley, and my eye is blurry.  My detachment was rare as it came apart in layers, (schism).  Does anyone else have these wavy lines and do they get better?  I always thought wavy lines indicated macular degeneration.

Gas bubbles in the eye cause wavy lines (metamorphopsia)  splitting of the retina = retinoschesis.

We have may discussion threads on gas bubbles in the eye and retinal detachment surgery recovery. you can access them with the searach feature.
