by deep138929, Jun 12, 2007 02:45PM

I am having this vision problem  for last one year or so .I have been wearing glasses for last 4 years  .I am 28 yrs old software professional   and have -1.5 CYL in both eyes with 90 deg axis .For last one year I have changed my eye power 2-3 times but the problem is still there. My main issue is that while reading from text or onscreen or from billboards letters appear to be tilted and I have difficulty in reading .Particularly  the rectangular edges appear to be tilted slowly at an angle to my left .I was tested for all sorts of vision exam ,even went for a CT scan of my brain .I was given a different eye  prescription .Had eye exercises,ey drops  but it is still troubling me .Recently I am seeing images little blurred and see background ghost images of traffic lights, sometime i have a little dancing effect in my eyes .Also while going out in the sun I am facing problem as it tires my eyes .At night I see some starburst effect on traffic lights and catr headlights  .My doctor told me  to ignore the same .I am currently in USA and went to a opthalmologist here.I was tested with eye dilation,Eye pressure test .Amsler grid and other retina related tests .It was found to be normal .Here the doctor told me to go for a Fluoroscent Angiography .Iam little apprehensive regarding that and getting afraid about my vision  .Kindy tell me what is going on with my eyes which is causing problem for me to read  and work .

No one can tell you for sure what is the problem but if you've seen several ophthalmologists and nothing serious has turned up that should be comforting.

You problem might be due to uncorrected astigmatism, irregular astigmatism such as keratoconus, early cataract and macular abnormalities.  A fluoroscene angiogram is a test to look at the macula to check for problems that may be impossible to see with instruments used for regular examinations.  If you wear contacts and switch back and fourth between glasses and contact lens that can cause visual ghosting.

If you're extremely bothered by your symptoms then you may need to proceed with the additional testing as outlined above.
