What is Nucler Sclerosis

What is Nucler Sclerosis

My visits to the opthamolagist (every 6 months) have always been encouraging, as the last one was, also. However, since I need to bill my supplemental health insurance myself, I noticed that the diagnosis ifs"Cataract,Nuclear Sclerosis.
This sounds farmor serious than what my doctor has been telling me,,,mild cataract  ..not serious enough to operate on.
An explanation would surely be greatly appreciated.

Dear siscee,

Cataract formation in the lens of the eye is a normal part of the aging process. You may have a small cataract that is not affecting your functioning and thus, does not need surgical intervention.  I would continue to see your eyeMD to evaluate progression.
