What is wrong with my face?

Friday morning I woke up and the left side of my face was swollen, well as the day went by it slowly went down, Then Saturday I woke up and my left eye was swollen shut and the center of my forehead was swollen and itched and burned, well slowly the swelling faded, Then Sunday morning I woke up and my right eye was swollen but not too bad and then it slowly went away. Well Monday morning I woke up and my right eye was swollen and the right side of my face. There is a knot like right above my right eyebrow and is sensitive to touch and it itches really bad sometimes but hurts too bad to scratch. All ointments burn so I don't use them. I don't have insurance so I haven't went to the doctor. Can you please help and maybe give me some suggestions.

Well it looks like it's happening when you sleep.  Maybe soemthing is collecting and causing that...maybe you should try to lie upright in the mean time until you find help?  Just a thought...but painful knot sounds like a infection.

It's me again, I woke up this morning and there was swelling in my eye again...Well then this afternoon my lip swole up and it's like my face is burning and itching at times, would someone at the health department be able to help me or do I need to go to a regular like family doctor. My husband's mom is an lpn and she mentioned a staph infection from where I had my roots pulled at the dentist a few weeks ago, could that be a suggestion. I am really worried about this and I don't know what to do? Is there anything over the counter I can take?

I am most concerned about the very tender knot. That sounds like an infection and you should be examined and probably treated with an antibiotic by mouth. It can be very serious if it spreads to your eye socket or throughout your body.

Do not touch it much or it may help it spread.

Often universities have low cost clinics where you can get good care. Many doctors have
special low rates for folks without medical insurance. Check the yellow pages. I think a good family doctor can probably handle this.
