Which AREDS? I'm confused.

Can someone give me a link to THE BEST and most up to date AREDS formula please, and where to buy?

Oh wait this has Vit A removed for the smokers. Should I just buy reg AREDS and supplement with Lutein? I do not want to add a multivitamin as I take lots as a result of my weight training high protein suplementation already :)

Take one adult vitamin like Centrum or a generic per day and two PreServision with Lutein per day. It does not have the beta caratene that smokers should avoid.

OK so the preservision with Lutein (2/day) and not beta-carotene is the best one, correct?

It's what I recommend to my patients based on 1. Preservision AREDS formula is the original supplement used in the original AREDS study  2. Preservision with Lutein is what is now being used in the AREDS II study on whether its use can reduce the risk of ARMD in patients that DO NOT HAVE it at the beginning of the study.
