You are welcome. The best catalog is "Independent Living" One of my patients this morning with impaired vision due to Stargardt's Disease says she uses her phone or iPad takes a picture of something she wants to see then enlarges the photo.

I am very happy to hear about that. I was so sad yesterday, they said that my eyes will get worse day by day until I can not see anything and they can not do anything for me. I hope other hospitals oversea can help me.
Can you tell me more about low rehabilitation services? they can help my eyes get better by how? by exercises, by diet or by surgery....?
Many thanks!
Generally the peripheral vision is not affected mainly the central vision. When you have your eyes examined ask about low vision rehabilitation services. many of my patients with poor central vision still function at a high level and enjoy meaningful rich lives.
Hi JohnHaganMD,
Thank you very much for your answer. I have been off Cloroquin since this Jannuary but my eyes haven't been better. I had an eye exammination yesterday. Unfortunately, they said that my eye's Retinal was destroyed completely. My Goldman test also not good, I don't know how to spell this test in English, they asked me to see a fixed point and test my eye's ability to see other moving points. I just saw big moving points with high light intensity, I couldn't see the small point until they moved to the center, near the fixed piont. I am planing to have an eye exammination in Singapore next week. I'm so worry :(
Hopefully you are off cloroquin. If your distance vision is okay but your near vision is blurred it might not be that as cloroquin maculopathy should blur both distance and near vision. In USA Bascom Palmer eye Institute of U of Miami; Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins in Baltimore Emory Univeristy Ophthalmology in Atlanta are all excellent. There are many more world centers in USA JCH MD
