White spot

For the last day or so, i've been seeing a white spot on occasions when i blink, but only in my left eye. It doesn't appear in my field of vision, more like in my peripheral. It looks as if someone has light reflecting off a mirror when I see it. On my last eye appointment a year ago, the doc said my eyes were very healthy. Is this something I should be concerned about? What could it be?

This at least raises the suspicion that you could have something going on in the retina or vitreous. I would have a dilated eye exam with an ophthalmologist mainly to rule out a retinal tear or detachment.
