Why might my right Lacrimal Caruncle be slightly swollen?

It started about 2 days ago. I have been staying up late and looking at a computer screen for a good portion of the day, and have a feeling this may have caused the swelling. I don't have trouble with vision or anything just a slight numbing feeling at the spot of the swelling every now and then. Is there anything simple I can do to remedy this? Should i just not exert my eye as much and not spend hours looking at a screen?

Prolonged screen use drys the eyes. I suggest using artificial tears before a long session and every 15 minutes look away from your screen, focus on something as far away from you as possible (> 15 feet)  and blink your eyes forceably  10-15 times   This is sometimes called the 15-15-15 rule for computer use.
