Will an Eye Lift help?

I have been diagnosed 2 years ago with SLK.  Although it is better, I am still unable to stay indoors all the time
due to the dry air and can't use a computer for long periods of time - in other words, I am unable to work.  The pain can be unbearable at times.  I have droopy eyelids, could this be causing the SLK by irritating my eye?  I do not have thyroid problems or RA. Do you think an eyelift could solve the problem?

If you live in the South try and get to a cornea specialist at Emory University Ophthalmology department. I trained there. It's one of the best in the world. You do not have to "live with it"

Thank you so much for answering.  I have been seeing one of the best specialist in the south.  For some reason, no one wants to give me Restasis.  I have tried tear duct plugs 2X's & silver nitrate 2X's.  I guess I just have to live with it

I do not acryonms   SLK  do you mean superior limbic keratoconjunctivis? If so see a cornea specialist near you or go to a medical school corneal specialist. You should not be incapacitated. No an eyelid lift is not appropriate therapy for that.  Vigorous therapy for dry eye, including Restasis and tear duct plugs and cautery with silver nitrate are very helpful. Find a cornea Eye MD near you at www.aao.org   If all else fails surgical removal or cautery or conjunctival recession sometimes take care of the problem.
