Wondering what is going on?!

About a month or more ago I had pink eye and treated it and took out the contacts I had and threw them away. Treated them for about about a week and a half and thought they were ok and put new contacts back in and next day my eyes were red with a red ring around my eyes and had a little amount of gunk in them the next day so I took the contacts back out and treated again until no redness or gunk. Now I wait 2 weeks or more after stopping treatment to make extra sure that it is gone and put contacts back in and 2 day later I wake up and I have the red ring forming again around my eyes, right eye worse than left, and little gunk. Now I have once again took the contacts out and put a couple drops of the eye stuff in again. My kids had pink eye when I had it too but they went to the emergency room for it and they were given a different medicine then me. My family doctor ordered me something different when I got it from the kids. So I now have put what they got in this morning thinking maybe this medicine will help me. I am thinking I don't have pink eye again but that now my eyes are having a problem with the contacts but that it had something to do with having the pink eye because I was having no problems at all until I had pink eye. My question is can the medicine I already have help me ?
They are Sulfacetamide Sodium Ophthalmic Solution USP, 10% and Polymyxin B Sulfate and Trimethoprim Ophthalmic Solution USP

If I went to the doctor and he said it is now turned into a infection having to do with my contacts would he give me one of these medicines?? If not what kind of medicine would he give me that would be different?? I am a single mother working hard to make ends meet and hate to go if I have something I can use already and I hate wearing my glasses and want to wear my contacts again so badly. I wish I knew what to do !!!

99% of the time its the contacts. Leave them out, go see the optometrist or ophthalmologist that fit your contacts.
