Worried about my Mum

Hello, My Mum is 51 years old and has always suffered from migraines and bad headaches.
She has been to the docs many times about them and they prescribe her special medication to help with the migraines but as far as I know there hasn't been a whole lot of effort put in to finding out the actual CAUSE of the migraines.
I am pretty sure she gets them more frequently than before, she seems to get a bad headache or migraine on a weekly basis now. She takes a lot of painkillers and imigraine nasal sprays and I worry about her using so much medication. She also drinks a few coffees everyday as one doctor told her caffeine can help. She often gets migraines so badly that her vision is blurry and she often spends a whole day vomiting.
Back in March she woke one morning with a large bruise under her eye, it just appeared out of nowhere and then went away a week or so later. She went to the doc and they couldn't really tell her how it happened but assured her it was nothing to worry about.
Yesterday she also woke up with another deep purple bruise under her eye. I am really concerned that this has something to do with her migraines and there may be a serious problem causing it all. Are random bruises under the eyes caused by something? I worry that it could be a tumour or something...

If it was a bright red spot on the white of the eye its often a spontaneous subconjunctival hemorrhage and they are very rarely serious. If the lid itself was bruised like a black eye and there was no trauma then she should be evaluated for a bleeding tendency plus have a medical eye exam by an ophthalmologist.

Thanks for the reply, the bruises appear just underneath her eye and they are blue and purple and literally looks like she has been punched.

Then she needs medical evaluation as  I indicated.
