YAG for capsule opacification

I had my right eye cataract surgery two years ago. According to the doctors I need YAG for the PCO that cause the blurry vision. I am not with my original surgeon for some reasons. My IOL is of B&L. I am seeing two opthmalogists (for second opinion /confirmation). One is using Alcon IOL ( who takes time to explain) and the other both Alcon and B&L .Both are competent doctors. Does familiarity with the tyoe of IOL a critical decision factor in seeking YAG treatment ?
