Yellow eyelid after infection?

Hi all, hoping someone can help!

I've been using fusidic acid eyedrops for the last week because of a suspected eye infection - one eyelid had massive swelling which ended up as a large lump in the outer corner of the upper eyelid.

Most of the swelling has gone now, but my eyelid is a strange yellowy colour, almost like it's bruised? Is this normal? It's starting to concern me...I suffer with anxiety anyway, so any help that anyone could give would be massively appreciated - thank you!

There may have been an infection in the lid (stye, Meibomean abscess or infected chalazion), the yellow discoleration could be a bruise fading.

Only an exam can tell for sure.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like a bruise and there's still some swelling across the length of the lid, the lump is much smaller than it was before. Any idea what the bruise/yellow colour could be caused by?

It's not normal. US physicians do not use that medication. Discuss with the physician that wrote the RX. The lump may be a "chalazion" search that term to learn more.
