Zymar Antibiotic

Hello

Last year when I was wearing contacts, I continued to wear them dirty since I ran out of new ones and it took some time for the new ones to arrive. My left eye became extremely uncomfortable and I still continued to wear them for 3 more days and I couldn't wear contacts anymore, After about 2 or 3 weeks I noticed my left eye lid is getting swollen. It gets more swollen when I'm tired. Last week I had PRK and I was given Zymar and the Doctor told me to put in the drops for 3 days and I noticed it helped with the swollen eye lid. Is it safe to continue using Zymar for my left eye until the swollen eyelid resolves? I sometimes get 1 or 2 bumps on the upper and lower eye lids (left and right eyelid), and I also do warm compresses. Would using Zymar help my condition? If so how long should I use it and see results in?

Thank You

Zymar is a very potent antibiotic eye drop. It should be used only under the supervision of a physician. You need to ask your refractive eye surgeon (ophthalmologist) about how to use it. We do not intrude here on the physician (ophthalmologist) patient relationship.
