about eye power

My son 5 old son having eye power - 2.25
Is it more ? is it curable ? how long he has to wear specs?

Any other treatment to cure this?
Please clarify me.

Was this prescription calculated after drops were put in your son's eyes to dilate them?  If not, the prescription should be rechecked before you buy the glasses.  In young children it is easy to give them glasses that are too strong if the prescription is measured wihtout dilating the pupils.
