Agree with Jodie J but one thing to remember is that there is no "cure" for a macular pucker. They can be worked on with a peeling procedure but the macula is not expected to be normal, just less wrinkled and hopefully less thickened and with better vision. Keep your expectations well in check and hope for improvement to some degree if you are indeed a candidate for this type of surgery. Laser is not used in this type of surgery.

No, laser surgery cannot help you. Your best bet for a cure is to have a vitrectomy with membrane and ILM peeling. (Do not skip the ILM peeling.) Get a surgeon who is very experienced with this procedure, preferably someone who uses modern "sutureless" 25-gauge instruments. If you can travel for surgery, consider seeing Dr. Steve Charles in Memphis, who is highly skilled in performing this procedure.
