are my contacts bad or just my eyes??

hey i have worn contacts for about 5 years an everthing has wrked out great ...up until recently. i know my contacts are getting old an now im seein double at night an having trouble focusing on near an far object as if i see two of them.i went to a local doc an he said everything is fine an got me new contacts but even with them i continue to see double at night an trouble focusing when i told him he said i was seeing twenty twenty with them can u tell me if my vision problem is all in my head or wat i should do??

Do you still see double at night when you close one eye?  If your double vision is gone with one eye closed, your eye muscles may be slightly out of alignment.  See an ophthalmologist who specializes in strabismus (sometimes called a pediatric ophthalmologist, but they see adults, too.)  You can find one using the doctor directory at www.aao.org.

yes sir but only in my left but when i take the contacts out i have no double vision do you think maybe the doc got the prescription wrong if not why havebnt i had this problem before??
