from my exp astigmatism doesn't seem to get any better for me, I've had it since birth along with Toxoplasmosis.  But I've noticed I get a lot of headaches when I read for longer than 15-20 minutes, and I have to squint my eyes to read, even ;using a magnifying glass (glasses dont help me) I still have to squint to make the words apear so that I can read them.  I am not all too sure if those are from the toxo and the stigma combined but that is whats been happening with me and It hought I'd share them with you. I know that the glasses might improve his blurry vision but I am not sure as to how much.

Get a second opinion from a pediatric ophthalmologist Eye MD. Find one at www.aao.org  Astigmatism in not uncommon in kids and some forms DO NOT require glasses.
