black/green pigmentation/scars in both retinas

Im 25 years old.  I recently went to costco to get new prescriptions for my contacts.   I have been wearing glasses since i was in elementary school and contact since middle school.  I have a very high astigmatism in both eyes and is nearsighted.  When i went to get my ... [More] eye check for contact i got a dialtion done (for the first time) and the dr. said she see's black/green pigments in the middle of my retina near the macula but thank god not in the macula. she said she was a little concern because it is in both of my eyes and towards the middle of the retina.  She asked if i had any surgery or been to mississippi before and the answer was no.  She also said it kinda looks like scars that seem to have been there for awhile,  and referred me to a retinal specialist.  I went back in a week to follow up on my contact trials and I have asked another dr, about what the last dr. said she seen and he said that pigmentation is usually a good sign, meaning that it may have been something that happened in the past, possible infection or virus, trauma of some sort that may have scar'd the retinas and possibly healed into pigments.  Can this be possible?  I dont have insurance and she said i can wait as long as i dont start seeing any flashes and extreme floaters, If so i have to go to the retinal specialist right away.  I am FREAKING OUT and cant sleep at night.  I have been researching and googling numerous possibilities and getting really reallly worried.  Also with my glassses/contacts i see perfectly well and do not experience any vision loss, night blindness, ect. when i have them on. I have never been to mississipi or been exposed to any bat dropping or farms, I live in California.  Is it still possible that i may have gotten this,  Also the second dr. (which is my original dr.) said something that it may not be nothing to worry about and pigmentation can be normal.  May have been caused by an injury or a virus in the pass and had healed into scars pigments. Can this be a possibility?

You need to see a retinal specialist.  Your first doctor was concerned about ocular histoplastmosis.
