blood spot in eye

i got punched in the eye about a week ago, it cause really bad swelling and a nasty bruise. there were no fractures or anything, thankfully. i have developed a blood spot in my eye, a day or two after the injury, it might have been there when it first happened, but my eye was too swollen to notice. the dr didn't say anything about it, so i guess he didnt notice. it's not blood shot, it is a small pool of blood in my eye ball. what i have found says it should have went away in 2 or 3 days, but it has been almost a week and is still there. i am just wondering about how long it will take it to go away. thank you. also i have uploaded pictures of the eye for refrence.

Dear dani97930,

I would recommend that you follow up with your eyeMD. I suspect that this was there before and it might take longer to go away, but you should have it examined as it was not noticed or described before.
