blue flashing light

blue flashing light

A few months back I had a blue flashing light out of the coner of my eye and eye pain.  Went to a retinal specialist and he has been following me.  1st visit he didn't see anything.  The second he felt maybe the retina was trying to pull away.  3rd visit was yesterday and he said both eyes look the same.  I asked if I am now allowed on amusment rides because we are taking a vacation.  Last blue flashing light was 3 weeks ago but was only for about an hour.  My neurologist thinks maybe it is an optical migran.  Retina doctor said when it first happened it was to long of a time and dosn't think that.  Now I don't know what to think.  Do you think it's safe to go on amusements?

1. Flashing light that lasts an hour with a normal retina exam is highly likely to be eye migraine.
2. You would need to ask the retina MD about the amusement rides. I generally ask my patients with vitreous detachments to avoid them
