blurred vision in one eye

Okay so about a week ago I tried to wear a contact lens that I had accidentally left out and it had dried up. Bad idea, I know. I ended scratching my cornea and getting conjunctivitis. I went to a doctor and got some eye drops and ointment. It was very painful. Anyway, this is my question: the pain subsided after about 3 days, but it has been about a week now and my vision in the affected eye is still VERY blurry. Is this normal? If so, how long can I expect to wait before my vision returns to normal? Thank you in advance.

If you are still using the ointment, this by itself will make your vision blurred.  If not, then the blurring is probably due to irregularity of the surface of the cornea.  If your eyes were healthy to begin with, this should slowly improve over the next 1 - 2 weeks.  If you have any underlying eye problems such as dry eye or blepharitis, the healing process may take much longer.

thank you for the fast response. I will wait another week or 2 before I worry about it too much.
