blurred vision

I had something that looked like something like a curved row of bright flashes on the side vision of my 1 month old cataract surgery eye. Those appeared several times (even with my eye closed), I began seeing sets of black dots when I was driving. Also, my vision continuously gets cloudy and then clear over and over. After my eye had been dilated for only 8 minutes my surgeon said my eye was fine and this was due to aging. As soon as I get my other eye done I will not notice it. This does not seem to be right to me. These all seem to be signs of possible retina detachment. Is this something I should see a retina specialist for?

Yes before getting the 2nd eye done have problems with the first eye checked out. Consider seeing a retina Eye MD for a second opinion.
