blurrring vision

I just replaced my glasses because I was having a problem with blurry double vision when driving late day or night.  The new prescription seems to make it bad whenever I drive.  Odd thing is , I can see clearly in the room, see the computer but get double vision when I try to watch tv.   I am okay outside but as soon as I start driving it seems the eyes will not work together.  I went back and was told the prescription is correct.   I am wondering if the prisms could be doing this.  I feel they could be forcing one eye to inward and that could contribute to the poor distance vision. ...or is it the progressive lenses?   The prescription was lowered in this new pair of glasses but sometimes I just feel like everything is too strong, in my face so to speak. I often feel eye strain .    I switch to my oldest glasses (not progressives) for driving and can see fine right away.    I also notice with the new ones that one eye seems to be a bit blurry, my weak eye.
Any advice welcome.

If you act quickly you may be able to have your eyes and the glasses rechecked and if necessary the lens changed at no charge to you. Most optoms and Ophthalmologists do not charge for a "glasses recheck" if done within a couple of weeks of getting the glasses. See if you can get a glasses recheck appointment and affirmation that it will not be charged to you. Take in the old and new glasses. Do this with the Eye MD or optom that did the glasses exam.
