bright spot

I have a little spot in the peripheral vision of my right eye that when I blink it looks like a camera flash has just gone off. It is not straight into my eye, it is to an angle off to the right. When I am in an area with low light I do not see it. I do not have blurred vision it just looks like a little grey spot and I can see through it. It started two days ago it hasn’t gotten worse or better, it seems to be in the three O’clock position. What could it be? I have not had any camera’s flashing, the only exposure was the day it happen I was playing with my niece and nephew as the sun was setting and caught a glimpse of really bright light through my glasses to that eye as I went to pick up a ball.

I was wondering if a laser pointer could do it, I did not remember it but the day before the spot came up i accidentially had a laser light flashed in that eye while my mother was moving her computer and the laser from the mouse flashed me in that general area. It stayed with a glow the rest of the night.

Sunlight off your glasses would not produce damange nor a spot that persists as long as yours has.

I am looking for a local eye md as we speek. I was wondering if since it did not happen until the sun caught me through the side of my lens of my glasses, if it could simply be from the magnification of the sun through my glasses? It flashed into that exact spot and it doesnt seem to be as bad, but still bothersome.

If its there all the time it's worrisome and could represent a blocked artery or vein in the eye. See an Ophthalmologist. Find one at www.aao.org
