cataract surgery black lines

I still have a black line on the side of each eye. Is this something the Dr. did? It is causing me much emotional upheaval. When I drive it is distracting and dangerous!!! How do you just get used to it? Why can't something be done about it? This is not right! I can't get used to this. It has been 6 months. What is it exactly?
     Please Help.

Negative dysphotopsia is a curved dark line on the the same side as the ears in both eyes.

This occurs in certain eyes with certain type of IOLs and has nothing to do with quality of surgery. Please speak to your surgeon about this and the options to correct it.

Dr. O.
