chronic retina syndrome

chronic retina syndrome

About one month ago, I awoke with a dark shadow over my left eye. I thought it was caused by a new drug I was taking called Pristiq. So I quit taking it.          I have been to 2 different opthalmologists and received no satisfactory answers as to what this is and how to cure it. They did several tests including a yellow dye test. They were amazed by how well their technology worked but gave me no answers. The one said it was stress related but my gut response says differently. I am requiring more and more light to see to read and to even post this. I am a diabetic that has controlled sugar. I do have nueropathy in my legs. My Mother (also a diabetic) was diagnosed with macular degeneration. I take an eye vitamin that contains eyebright, bilberry, and lutein among other eye smart ingredients. This seems to help but only for a few hours then I have to take it again. What are my options to prevet possible blindness and to cure this shadow thing.

I do not know anything about the medicine you took. I would suggest seeing a neuroophthalmologist
