Have used Xalatan for several years with no rash.  Added Trusopt 1 year ago and about 3 months ago I started with a rash on eyelids.  Dermatologist treated for contact dermatitis Fluticasone Propionate cream  with little result.  Opthamologist treated for blepharitis with an antibiotic cream and eyelid wash, again no relief.  I tried using Xalatan in AM rather than at nite, no change.  Tried just Trusopt AM and early PM, no change.  I have changed detergents, eliminated all makeups, started using Cetaphyl for face wash.  Any clues to what I should do next?  Rash is mainly on left eye and one spot on cheek, small rash on right eye.  I do sleep on left side.  Other med is Avapro for HBP and I have been on that for 2 years.  Thank you!

Try quitting trusopt for a few weeks (with permission from your doctor, of course) to see if that makes any difference.  Next consider having SLT laser treatment possibly to see if you can get off all eye drops for glaucoma then see if rash improves.  If it is not the drops it could be something else - but I don't know what.  Would take trial and error treatment or have dermatologist take another look.

Thank you Dr MJK, I tried eliminating Trusopt and using Xalatan only and in the AM rather than PM.  Did this for 2 weeks.  Odd thing about this rash is it is NOT constant and seems to respond to treatment but when treatment stops, rash returns.  I am going to keep a journal beginning today to see if I am doing something to create this.  Also going for a 3rd opinion (have never done this) to Alexei Moraczewski, MD who I located thru this the link provided by medhelp.  Things are "lookin'" up!
