complicated case

My mother's Right eye is almost non-functioning.Left eye has undergone cryo 27 yrs back, retinopaxy in 21yrs back, buckling in 20 yrs back. PDT  in 2009, followed by 4 LUCENTIS injections last in JUNE 2010.Now there is Grade 2 cataract in the same eye.. Central vision is blurred. Thin retina,black threads keep coming. Retina is Cataract surgeons have mixed views on advise surgery,Vitreoretinal surgeon say nothing can be done in the retinal part. Now what to do should she undergo the cataract surgery and take the risk or should she avoid the surgey as long as she can, as the risk of RD is there always
