corneal neovascularization

I'm wondering if it is possible to see corneal neovascularization in a slit lamp test, and if so, is it something that is easily noticeable or does it have to be looked for?

Yes it is possible to see corneal neovascularization, which is called pannus, using a slit lamp.  However sometimes the blood vessels do not have blood in them, and they can be much harder to detect.
