crossed eye, eye turning in

My 5 years old girl started turning her eyes in starting three month a go, this happens some times, once or twice daily, I took her to her primary doctor who sent me to ophthalmologist and she was diagnosed with accommodative esotropia, and now wearing 3+ lenses.  My question is that how can this happen all of a sudden? My little girl fell of my bed last summer and she didn't even cry or anything, but some how I feel like this eye problem is related to the fall that happened last summer.  What do you think? Should I take her to have her brain scanned?  What would that do?  Need some advice.

Thank you

The first thing that came to my  mind after your first sentence was accommadative esotropia and it turns out that is what she has. This is determined by genetic factors and she is responding nicely to treatment.  It will often get even better in the late teen years.  It is very, very important that she sees her ophthalmologist as scheduled since amblyopia can occur in some cases if not treated properly and sometimes surgery can even be needed for select cases.
