crystal/prism effect in eye

Hi, I had an experence yesterday where I had a  prism/crystal effect in the top of my left eye vision. I thought It was something reflecting off my glasses rim until I took them off and it was still there. It started moving down and expanding across my left eye vision until it seemed to be moving as an advancing front from top left to bottom right and then disappeared about half way across. It lasted about 15 minutes and can be best described as a sparkling prism or crystals. I seemed to be able to look through it, it was just disturbing. I had no pain. I have just started (two weeks) on a low dose of blood pressure pills that have reduced my blood pressure into the normal healthy range. Any thoughts.

Sounds very much like an ocular migraine.  You can't assume that though unless you've had a full eye exam including a dilated exam by a competent ophthalmologist or an eye MD.  So call and schedule an exam soon.
