darkness in one eye

darkness in one eye

Last night, when I laid down in bed (after turning the lights off), the vision is my left eye was darker than my right eye.  It's almost as if I had sunglasses on my left eye.  Things were much darker looking through my left eye compared to my right eye.  It took about a minute for my left eye to see at the same level as my right eye.  This has never happened before.  Other than the darkness in my left eye, I felt fine.  My vision was normal before I laid down.  Age=50.

Get an exam by an Eye MD ophthalmologist. Find one nearby at www.aao.org  there are some problems with the retina, optic nerve and macula that might cause these symptoms.

Just curious. After you turned off the light, it is dark, isn't it?
