daughter with farsightedness

My five year old daughter is farsighted and has wore her glasses faithfully for the past year.  With her glasses off, one of her eyes crosses in.  Her father is 25 and still has this same problem.  My question is:  Will my daughter's eyes stop crossing in as she gets older or will they always cross in without her glasses.

I agree.  Recent studies suggest that LASIK will accomplish the same results as contacts, when she is old enough.  On rare occasions, kids will cross with contacts despite being controlled with glasses.  In that setting, LASIK would not be advisable.

Your daughter has accommodative esotropia and may always have this unless as she gets older she loses enough of her hyperopia that she no longer crosses. I have seen this many times. Also, remember that contact lenses, when she is older, will accomplish the same effect as the glasses.
