demoid in eyes

Hi, i'm 24 years old and for the past 6 months i have developed dermoids at the corners of my both eyes inside the upper eye lid. My doc says i need not worry and ther's no need to remove it and if it enlarges he wd operate it. Is there any chance of it to enlarge in size? At present it is not too big and only appears if i raise my upper eyelid. However i occassionally feel burning sensation in my eyes and icchiness. Is it necessary for the dermoids to be removed?

You should be under the care of an Eye MD ophthalmologist and not an optometrist non MD non physician in my opinion. If they remain small and do not cause problems then generally leave them alone. most small dermoids need not be removed. If the get bigger or cause problems the Eye MD may remove them or may refer you to a special type of Eye MD called an oculoplastic surgeon that does this type of work.
