detached retina

I had the gel removed, and a gas bubble inserted as emergency surgery to fix 3 retinal tears or detachements on Jan. 8.  The gas bubble was gone, at least as far as I can tell by Jan. 24 or a few days before.  How do I know if the retinal will stay attached?  Also, is it now safe for me to fly?  I have an extremely long flight scheduled for mid April.  Also, it seems as if the vision is correctable to 20/30 with glasses.  Will that get better over time?  Thank you so much for your help in advance.

definitely continue to see your dr. to be sure the retina is still attached or if you notice ANY change in your vision call them. i would also follow up regarding flying. i just had my 3rd sury in 4 months for detached retina. hopefully yours was caught before it got fully detached. mine started with a abrupt floater and changes in vision then 50% detachment. i had the gas bubble 1st then a n oil bubble, which i now have. not sure i will get any vision back. dont want to scare you but please dont ignore anything. its your vision
