develope floaters after eye exam, help

please help, i went to an retina eye doctor for check up, the doctor is young but he is board certifize, i assume he know what he doing.
well during the exam, he wore something on his head with this bright white light and he shine it through my eyes and told me to look, up, down, left, right, look at him so he can see my retina.
my eyes weren't dilate since i'm allergic to those and since my pupil kindda big so he give it a try to look at it and he was able to see my retina.
anyways, so he check my eyes out with this bright light he wore on his head, the bright light really bother me and it make my eyes watering, i'm guessing he normal..
BUT..... after that like a week later, i start to develope like 2 floaters, it is possible for the bright light he shine to my eyes damage my eyes? it is because my eyes was not dialate that is why the light damage it?
he said, he was able to see my eyes without dilation but not all 100%, so he told me to come back to have a full dialate eye exam so he can know my EXACT condition.
this dr. is kindda young, so i'm kindda hesitate, should i go to another retina dr.?

MDs will deny until their faces go blue, that the fundus exam is 100% safe.  I'm sorry to say this is not true in all cases, I had my vision deteriorate after every light intensive test they performed.

I developed eye floaters after my first exam as well. Never had any problems till now with my eye. I can see if if was only only one eye, but my floaters developed in both eye at the same time after my first ever eye exam ever. I'm 29 years old.

im glad u make me feel safe now, im just supper paranoid that since my eyes weren't dialate, the light might damage it more, but you said it not, so give me relief.

thank you dr.
the dr. check my eyes and he said my left eye is fine, but my right eye have 1 small tiny hole on my retina.

i'm freaking out, since my eyes weren't dialate and he was able to see 1 small tiny hole, if it dialate he probably see more holes.

u right, i think i need to go back for a dialate exam.

The exam will not cause floaters.  This is probably the natural course of the vitreous detachment.   You need a dilated exam.

Also, read my comments on a similar post after yours.

maybe the floaters got nothing to do with the light he shine to my eyes, but i'm just worry, i want to hear your opinion doctor, thanks
