diabetes

yes i work for an eye doctor  and he has told me that if diabetes was causing my eyes to be blurry  he would be able to correct it some how. but i was told that that is no true that you can have problems with your eyes cause of diabetes and not be able to correct them until your sugar is under control. any insight would be appreciated very much.

Do you work for a real physician? That is an Eye MD ophthalmologist.

OR do you work for a non-MD optometrist?

I suspect the latter.

Diabetes if out of control can cause frequent changes in the glasses BUT it can also cause diabetic retinopathy which is a leading cause of poor vision and blindness.

I work for an non-md doctor. when it all began he told me not to waste my time with being checked because there was no way it could be diabetes. he insisted it was snow blindeness. of which the other doctors i have gone to said that there is no way cause if it was something like that he would have healed already.
and i have checked my sugar many times and it was always been from 121 up to 148 i thought that that means prediabetes. i also spoke with a could rns and they said it could be many things. and until that underlining thing is taken care of the yes will not respond and get better. is this true.

thank you for your help and insight

You would best discuss your health concerns with your personal physician. There are better blood tests for diabetes than random blood sugars.

For eye problems see a real MD ophthalmologist.

No need to quit your job just realize he is not a physician and in my opinion is sending you a lot of non scientific hot air.

If your physical exam doesn't turn up anything ask your MD to refer you to an ophthalmologist Eye MD for an exam.
