dilated pupil after vitrectomy and cataract surgery...facovitrectomy...

Today is the 19 th day after facovitrectomy. Gas has completely dissolved. My eye is still dilated. Although it is not as much big as the first days of post surgey, it is still big. Light comes so strong that i can not open my eyes.
are these normal?when does the dilation stop?
Thanks

Some times the pupil stays dilated after surgery.  There are many causes.  Ask your surgeon.

this is 40 th days after operation. eye is still dilated. but when the direct light comes into eye it undilates a little. when it is dark, it dilates again. Pupil is reactive to light. Also when I use pilocarpino (drops that make the pupil smaller) it gets smaller, and when I use dilating drops it dilates. After a time it returns to semi-dilated position in both occasions.
Also there is a dark region in my right side of the operated eye. I think it is related to the pupil dilation, I may see the edges of monofocal IOL.
My surgeon says that everything is fine, and eye will undilate by time.
What are your thoughts about pupil dilation and dark region on the right side of my right operated eye?
thanks

Hi, I had 3 surgeries (2 RD and 1 silicone oil removal/cataract) about 2.5 years ago, and my eye stayed dilated for a long time, and I thought it would just be that way forever.  Well, I just happened to notice the other day that it is NO LONGER DILATED!   I had gotten so used to it I didn't even notice it anymore, but it is back to normal now.  Hope this helps!

thanks for your response Lefteye625.
I still have some questions.
1) How many months did it take to get normal dilation?
2)İt is two months after my surgery. There is a small improvement. Especially in sunny days my pupil gets considerably small, but it is still bigger than the non operated eye. In dim light,  it is much more bigger than the non operated eye. what do you think about this situation?
