diplopia

i am suffering from diplopia for the last 8 years but only came to know when i developed cataract in my left eye  I misjudged this diplopia to be due to cataract but when igot my eye operated by phaco the results were good but diplopia persisted   Now ihave cataract in my rt eye but doctor is reluctant to operate fearing that once the rt eye is optd diplpoia will bother more  Doctors suggest prism or muscle surgery but are not very sure of the result
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME IN THE NAME OF ALMIGHTY
SUGGEST ME WHERE AND WHOM SHOULD I CONTACT  Iam 55 years old with high myopia but vision is 6/6 in both the eyes

You need to see an ophthalmologist who specializes in strabismus (sometimes called a pediatric ophthalmologist in the USA, but they see adults, too.)  Ask your cataract surgeon to refer you.  It's very likely that your diplopia can be completely eliminated.  (Mine was.)  Best wishes.
