distortion in retina

distortion in retina


dear sir,
i was laser operated for diabetic retinopathy in my both eyes.
i developed distortion in my eyes( more in my left eye) after two months of the laser treatment even though my vision is ok and 6/9.

please suggest me the way to get rid of this distortion.

It depends what is causing it.  If it is from macular edema, your retina specialist could consider eye drops, more laser, or surgery if it is deemed necessary (depends what OCT and fluoresceine angiography demonstrate).  If it is as a result of scarring from the lasers, there is no way to get rid of it.  You need to make sure you are keeping routine appointments with a retina specialist in this regard as it takes a thorough exam and testing to fully evaluate the reasons for visual distortions in a diabetic patient.
